New art, New shows, New video

Hey there sports fans, Al here with the latest:

It's the second month of the "Say it Ain't So" art show, and things have been going pretty well with the massive interest in the work. The reaction to the show was slow at first because it came together so quickly that people didn't even know that it was going. Wanting to get people out and be interested is like pulling teeth, but now that they know it's out there, they've actually been looking. I've seen several people asking questions about the artwork how it's done all that.

With the application of video from my cell, I've recorded myself doing the artwork. Some of it uses a time lapse to get the point across the way I do scratchboard. Tonight I'm gonna take a shot at it and try to post it on the blog.

This blog will illustrate one of the more significant pieces for the Bigfoot Show I plan to do for next year. I still need to fill out the paperwork, but I don't think it'll be too hard to do.

Making videos has been an exciting time because people seem to be actually watching more than when I post a new image I've been working on. Even though it's been a small snippet (timelapse) video, that's fine, but it's interesting because of the responses. I've gotten more views of that, and I guess I understand like people can look at the artwork, but when you actually see the active person doing something, you become more interested in the process. I hope that's not the case with just video but the interest in the artwork itself.

The one thing about doing timelapse photography on a piece of artwork is that you see how fast it comes together and what parts I seem to focus on pretty quickly but watching it just come together out of nowhere is really interesting. I think that really surprises people, and it makes it fun for me to watch it so fast because I'm only paying attention to one thing at a time, and with a timelapse, everything blurs together so quickly. I'm hoping to use the small video as an add-on to the blog.

Here is a link to one I am working on right now. https://youtu.be/wdIuC4MXw8k

In tandem with the timelapse video are the self videos explaining what is going in the day. All artists do not hang out in a basement, regardless of what you have been told, and we sometimes come up for air.

All in all, I've been pretty happy with the way things have been going so far, and if things continue on, I'm gonna be taking a look at the Non-fungible token or the NFTs. There's a possible way I've been able to make money on all my artwork continuously.

Other than selling originals and prints. Don't get me wrong about selling originals and prints though selling originals to a person one on one is probably one of the most fantastic and rewarding things that we can do.

Selling prints online has been a learning experience, but it means I have to have a lot more people to help me out with that. I've learned that a lot from Beth when I was living with her.

When I wanted to learn new things about selling and marketing artwork, video editing was not part of the plan, but that's OK. It's a brand new world, and I'm learning as I go along.

And as far as that goes, I'm out of here till next time.
